Roberta Lipson

Ms. Roberta Lipson, CEO of Chindex, is an active member of the business community in Beijing for over 20 years. Ms. Lipson sits on the Board of Directors of AMCHAM-China and on the Board of Directors of the U.S.-China Business Council, and Chairs the Board of the United Foundation for Chinese Orphans. Ms. Lipson co-founded Chindex in 1981, the company has expanded from its core business of capital medical equipment sales and marketing to medical consumables, healthcare related consumer products and, most recently, healthcare delivery. Ms. Lipson has been the creative force behind the Beijing United Family Hospital and the United Family Hospitals concept, and has been central to the implementation of the projects. Alan Kahn

Mr. Alan Kahn is UFH Vice President, Marketing and Communications. He brings to this session expertise in business, home, and environment. In business, Alan has provided strategic counseling to top foreign brands operating in China including Motorola, Google, GE Healthcare, Morgan-Stanley, and LeNovo (to mention just a few). In the home, he experiences cross-cultural differences being married to a Chinese. And in China, he has become fully fluent in Mandarin. Consequently, he sees China on its own terms and in its own language making him expert in communicating cross-cultural issues for many sensitive areas such as health, crisis management, and public affairs. United Family Hospitals concerns go beyond medical care and extend into health education, medical access, and lifestyle directed towards happiness and wellness.

Jasmine Keel

Ms. Jasmine Keel, President of Inspired Beijing which she founded to provide networking for spouses seemingly dropped from the sky into this enchanted land in order to dispel the feeling of being far from opportunity, support, and camaraderie. Jasmine develops spouses, men and women, through coaching and seminars branded as "MySelf" (wholistic), "MyChina" (cross-cultural) and "MyCareer" (including their business). In Jasmine's own words, “I offer you a fast track to living an expat life you and your family love.”

Sharon Keenan

Ms. Sharon Keenan of the International Montessori School of Beijing MSB which encourages self-esteem, imagination/curiosity, and critical thinking. Students are imbued with a respect for all cultures while teachers are imbued with a deep caring for all students. Sharon has already invited Ms. Jean Jones who has worked both sides, education and industry, in China and has taken her own children from MSB through to entering Freshmen in USA, this year! Also invited by Sharon, Ms. Isabelle Mahon-Meyers brings experiences of having been an attaché, journalist, educator, and parent in Beijing from which she can drawn much useful insight which if further enhanced by the mix of schoolings her own children had.
